new id

I finally got around to making a new ID/self portrait. I've been getting ready for some art fairs while I'm waiting to sign up for them (backwards, I know) so this will be displayed on my table.
I love the texture that gouache and achieve and how Mary Blair it is so I've been meaning to work on that. I think I managed on this one but I'm worried it looks a little to (dare I say it) trendy. Thoughts?

edit:
ignore this please ^.^;;

Hunt Animation

My final project animation is finally done! This is the final (for now) version of "Hunt". Everything in this animation was hand painted with gouache, scanned and edited, then strung together.

In other news, new youtube account.

In other other news, The Rabbit Hole is having its poster show tonight which my Ukelele painting will be exhibited at.

Ukelele

DONE! DONE DONE DONE! :D This is my submission for The Rabbit Hole June Poster Exhibit and it's fiiinaaally done ^.^ Clearly Mucha inspired ^.^;; The background is watercolor and the foreground is gouache. I used masking fluid to make the frame and the white splotchies. Phew. I'm so glad this is off of my to-do. Now I can go up to Burlington, VT and graduate in peace (yeah right XD).

Update: my pageviews are already higher than they were last month and there's still a week and a half left! ^.^

Hunt character

I swear I've been working on stuff, I just don't have a lot to show for it yet. I lost a lot of my progress on my "Hunt" animation but when I redid it, I was able to streamline it a bit and add more to it.
So after trying to piece together characters using textures I made, I felt like the feel of the art was way off from what I pictured it being. Instead, I'm putting together an animatic using my storyboard then dropping handpainted elements in the animatic placeholders. Did that make sense? ^.^;; Anyway, I'm hoping it'll like I visualized once it's done.
